Announcement.

Mannnnnnn!!!!! It’s been awhile since I’ve written anything on my blog. I’ve detached from the matrix to work on a variety of really big ventures. Things that I have always wanted to accomplish outside of fashion and improving upon the things that already exist. I’ve given up my phone, stepped away from social media, and even boxed myself in, limiting myself from going to a lot of events, places, and just being out and about! It will all make sense to you all sooner than you think! BLACK Collection is alive and well. Expect a host of new things from us. New products, new projects, new everything! Our 1st first release of our Spring/Summer 2011 Collection will be available March 1st!!!!

This Spring/Summer It’s ALL ABOUT THE ENERGY!!!!

At any rate I’m writing this blogpost to announce a very special upcoming project that I’m working on. Some know me as being a huge advocate for chasing your dreams, living the life you imagine, not conforming to the rules of your friends and family, JUST DOING IT YOUR WAY AT ALL COST, DESPITE WHAT OTHERS SAY OR FEEL. I’m very vocal, and passionate about it!

I’ve grown to love to write about as well, and to be honest it’s all I talk about and even think about

(besides sex from time to time).

So without further delay I would like to announce that I am in the process of writing a book, titled “Permission Slip” My brother Delano & I have been working on this for quite sometime, and I can promise you all it won’t be anything like it. It’s a call to all the dreamers, and those who refuse to live in fear! It’s not a self-help book so get that out your head immediately! It’s a raw, honest, inspirational body of work from two brothers in the process of chasing our dreams, and enjoying this beautiful struggle. The bookstores are filled with bullshit self-help books that are watered down with their bullshit “10 steps To Succeed” formulas, from moguls who’ve decided to finally address topics & inspired others now that they have reached a certain level of success, but nobody has challenge to write to those going through the process now, that need the inspiration now, from people who are experiencing the same struggle. If you enjoy my tweets, or blogpost, hang tight! This is a million times better.....

This book is for the dreamers who get up everyday, sacrifice their lives, face daily challenges, and give all they have everyday for what they love.

I would like to formally introduce & welcome you all to

Big Brother.

We all write articles, and blogpost on celebs that we don't know that inspire us to do great things. Well this one is a little different. I'm writing about a gentlemen I met in 2002 that has inspired me since.

This brother has the desire to win like nothing seen before. Misunderstood at times, and a method to his madness indeed. But he's definitely ahead of his time. Throughout college, he ran DSU like Pres. Obama, and has always been on his game. Whatever he says he's going to do he does it all cost. Not only has he been a huge inspiration to me, he's been a great friend. I've hit the wall heavy a few times since 2002, and he's always been there to bail me out. He's always told me what I needed to hear, and not what I wanted to hear. We competed for the best GPA in college, and I lost of course. Slim graduated with a 4.0 cumulative or something like that. He critiques BC, and inspires me to push harder when I think I'm going my hardest towards the dream.

But last year something life changing happened that did it for me with his drive. This guy was making amazing cash at Nike where he went and became employee of the year, and had everything you would think should make one happy. Fortunately, he recognized it wasn't his dream. He quit that well paying career at Nike, that gave him pretty much everything he wanted to move back home and run for DC City Council. Most called him an asshole, a fool, said he was too young, and everything else you can think of. He fell short of the victory for City Council, but in my eyes he gained a much bigger. Victory over fear, and fighting life back, and not accepting what life threw out.

Now I know some may think this story is typical or some clean transition. But I've been there every step of the way with my homie so I personally know what he has sacrificed, and continues to sacrifice for his dreams. That completely took my drive to a different world, and sent the message to go for mine.

We all read about huge sacrifice stories, but I think the best thing in the world is to actually go through the storm with a person, and see them win, and grow. You appreciate it much more.

If you admire somebody you should go ahead and tell em, People never get the flowers while they could smell em. -Ye

To My Big Brother Delano. Happy Birthday

Here We Are.

It's been a while. We are in a new decade now. I didn't want to drop a Happy New Year blog, I figured everybody would do that.

I hope & pray that everybody who reads this accomplishes each & every one of their goals this year, and in life general. Whatever they are. I've spent a lot of time living in my head, and getting my thoughts together, and examining myself. You know the things I need to work on, the people I need to eliminate, the relationship I need to remove myself from, goals for this year, a "Stop Doing List", etc. It's been a process I might add, and I've really am checking myself to become better.

Changing a lot of things, and it's going to be a challenge, and uncomfortable but that's what change is about.

I was talking to my Mom while I was was back home, and I had my head down as we sat on the bed, I softly whispered "boy what a year 2010 has been" I didn't think she would hear me but she did. Moms always can always put things into perspective to make me appreciate the overall picture.

Moms said "it might have been rough but you made it through. You have your health, and your freedom. Let those tough times take you to higher heights"

So to whom it may concern, and those who read this.

"Believe & Keep Fighting & Let those tough times take you to higher heights"
